Project Overview

For the 2024 election cycle, the Arizona Working Families Party needed voter education materials to ensure communities had accurate information that were accessible to them. The campaign included Bilingual ballot guides, walk cards for door-to-door outreach for endorsed candidates, including Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, and Ylenia Aguilar, and AZWFP branded swag.

Why this matters?

Arizona voters faced a complex ballot with more than ten propositions, many written in intentionally misleading language. Key issues, including reproductive rights, immigrant protections, and worker protections, were at stake. It was important to design materials that not only empowered voters but also reached communities who are often overlooked, ensuring they had the information needed to participate in one of Arizona’s high-stakes elections.

Beyond ballot education, AZWFP also endorsed candidates committed to confronting authoritarian and extremist efforts, challenge fascist-driven policies that harm working families, and delivering real relief to working families. By centering these priorities, the materials made clear what was at risk for Arizona communities and why AZWFP's endorsed candidates offered a path towards a more affordable and just future.

Our designs lifted up the everyday issues:

Cutting cost on essential like groceries and housing
Lowering prescription drug prices
Advancing clean-energy solutions and utility affordability
Reducing water waste and crack down on price gouging by power companies
Expanding access to affordable child care

The Impact

Arizona Working Families Party played a crucial role in the 2024 election cycle, contributing to key wins for working-class people. Their voter education efforts supported the successful election of Anna Hernandez to the Phoenix City Council and helped strengthen statewide advocacy around critical issues, including Prop 139, the effort to protect reproductive rights through a constitutional amendment.
